The Community Happy Hour is a great way to build relationships with the community, Nebinger teachers & staff, and our families. Children are welcome. 50/50 raffle fundraiser. Kid Bingo! Food and Drink specials. The event is held in the private room on the second floor of the restaurant.
Shot Tower Playground Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday March 24, bring your kids to Shot Tower Playground for an easter egg hunt. Admission is free for the event. Refreshments will be provided. There will also be a craft table and face painting. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Expect a visit from the Easter Bunny!

The annual Meredith Auction is set for Saturday, April 14, 2018. This is an opportunity for community members, friends and Meredith families to come together, socialize and bid on fantastic auction items. Auction proceeds go directly towards student needs at Meredith School. Thanks to the generous support of many local QVNA businesses, our 2017 auction goals were achieved and we were able to complete phase one of our schoolyard resurfacing project. Summer employment opportunities for certified teens at Sacks Playground

Looking to work in a fun atmosphere? If so, Sacks Playground is now hiring Lifeguard Positions. Here’s what you need to know:
- Lifeguards must be at least 16 years of age
- Red Cross Certified (you are able to get enrolled in a certification class through Parks and Recreation Aquatics office). Must be able to pass swim screening and certification Class. (Class Costs around $175.00)
- Must be able to pass Physical, Drug Screening (must be Drug free), and all criminal background checks (your background checks Cost around $61.00).
- Must be able to work weekends
- Work 35 Hours a week
- Must be able to get along with the community and be a people person.

SEPTA Bus Service and Shopping Destination Survey

As part of ongoing efforts to improve bus service, SEPTA is seeking a better understanding of how employees and shoppers use SEPTA bus routes at major shopping destinations in the southeastern part of the city, near Columbus Boulevard and Snyder Avenue. These locations include Pier 70, Whitman Plaza, and Columbus Commons. If you are regular rider on any of the routes that go these destinations (Routes 7, 25, 29, 47, 57, 64, 79, and G), SEPTA is interested in hearing from you. Please fill out this short survey and help SEPTA make improvements to these routes.

The QVNA Zoning Committee will host a public meeting on Wednesday 3/14 at 7:30 p.m. to discuss a revised proposal for 212 Bainbridge Street. The meeting will take place in the Weccacoe Playground Building.
